New Hampshire repealed its ban the box law on July 1, 2025 and now has no state law limiting when any employer can ask about your record.
Private employers RSA Chapter 275-H covered state agency hiring only, never private employers, and it was repealed outright in the 2025 state budget. Nearly every ban the box list still counts New Hampshire as a ban the box state. It is not one, at any employer, as of July 1, 2025.
